Saturday 17th February was a great start to the year for four members of Bridlington Bay Archers who travelled to 'York Archery Society's Combined Indoor Shoot', at Sandburn Hall, Flaxton. The competition involved shooting *Portsmouth and Worcester style rounds. Liam Jordan (U21 Mens recurve) gained 1st place, Kath Underwood (50+ Ladies compound) took 1st place, Poppy Traves (U14 Barebow) won 1st place, and Sharron Jordan (50+ Ladies recurve) snagged 2nd place. The team performed well and look forward keenly to the approaching competitive outdoor season.
* A Portsmouth round consists of 60 arrows shot on a 60 cm target face at 20 yards. A Worcester round consists of 60 arrows shot on a 16” target face.
