Shooting for England

On Saturday July 27th, Liam Jordan travelled to Lilleshall for the Junior Archery Youth Festival. Shooting a distance of 70 metres. Liam ranked 11th in the qualification round; shooting in the head-to-head Liam managed to win all his matches taking him through to the gold medal match against Joshua Phillips.
The 1st set was 2-0 to Joshua, Liam managed to gain the points back making it 2-2 in the 2nd set, 3rd set 4-2 to Joshua 4th they drew 5-3 the final set went to Liam making it 5-5.

This lead to a one arrow shoot off. With Liam taking the gold with a score of 9 to Joshua's 8.

But it didn't stop there, in the men's U21 team event, shooting with Edward and Freddie for the 1st round they had a bye, a 2nd round win taking them into the gold medal match, giving them a 5-1 victory to take the gold medal for team.

Liam was then selected to shoot for England in the International Mixed team event, Liam and Imogen shot well but Northern Ireland beat them in the bronze medal match putting them in a respectable 4th place. With an overall ranking of 2nd place and the England team taking the Silver.

Whilst at the over 50+ championships in Evesham, Sharron Jordan shooting a recurve 60mtrs qualification round ranked 11th after the head-to-head and managed an overall ranking of 6th place. Also shooting was Kathryn Underwood with a compound bow ranking 12th in the qualification round, with an overall ranking of 9th place.

4th August and back up to Yorkshire for the Burton Constable competition Liam Jordan took 1st place in the Men's recurve with clubmate Rickie Robson close behind in 5th place. Tom Hesp took 14th place in his 1st outdoor competition. Sharron Jordan ranked 4th, Hugo Robson took U10 1st place and 1st place overall boy junior.

Olivia Harper took 1st place U12 in her 1st competition with 1st place overall girl Junior. Kiara Zondo gained 1st place U14 ladies with Emily Harding taking 2nd place U14 ladies, whilst Poppy Traves took 1st place U14 in the barebow section.

Hugo, Kiara, Oliva and Emily together took the team Junior trophy for Bridlington Bay Archers.

Liam and Sharron then travelled to the Bronte Archers competition. Liam ranked 3rd in the qualification round despite extremely windy conditions but after shooting the head-to-head ranked 1st place, whilst Sharron ranked 3rd in the qualification round with an overall ranking of 2nd after the head-to-head.
